How do I recharge my Salik account?
You can recharge via the Smart Salik App, the website, kiosks, banks, or by purchasing a recharge card from petrol stations and convenience stores across UAE.
What happens if I pass a gate without balance?
The system records the trip. You have a grace period of 5 working days to recharge your account to cover the negative balance. If not recharged, a fine of 50 AED will be issued per day (capped).
Is Salik free on weekends or holidays?
No, the Salik system operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays.
Where are the toll gates located?
Gates are located at Al Barsha, Al Garhoud, Al Maktoum, Al Mamzar (North & South), Al Safa, Airport Tunnel, and Jebel Ali.
